Lake House – The most documented CLT construction in Hungary

As an architectural photographer, there’s no more exciting story than building our own house. From the very beginning, I had the idea that, since we are building with CLT technology—a method still not widespread in the country in 2022, the year of planning—let’s leave a trace of it. Let’s create a series of articles that looks back from the first step all the way to the second year after moving in, reflecting on what happened, what experiences we had, and what conclusions we can draw.

The platform that helped make this possible was octogon.hu, where the story of the major phases, along with photo documentation, was published in 11 parts. You can find the individual parts of the series by CLICKING HERE.

My selection of images shows perhaps the most exciting parts: the structure being built, which in just 2.5 days turned into a house from nothing, followed by the completed work.

Endless thanks to the designers at Pyxis Nautica and the contractors at Wood is More!
