Bálint Jaksa
The photographer trusted by architects and designers to showcase their work.
My love for photography started in 2000, and in 2011 I completely changed my life and have been a professional freelance photographer ever since.
Photography came into my life through extreme sports. After working in this field for several years, an accident changed the direction of my career and I returned to an old childhood ambition: architecture. I never became an architect, but instead found another path into this world. I photograph architecture because I have always been fascinated by the way people shape the space around them.
I started photographing buildings, interiors and the people who create them, and over the years architectural photography has become both my profession and my passion.
Today I work with architects, interior designers, studios and companies in the field. My goal is to create photographs and films that convey their projects with clarity and character.
For me, the process begins long before I press the shutter button.
I look at the feel of the building itself, how the light passes through it, which details define it, and which perspectives show its strongest qualities.
My portfolio includes photographs of numerous projects by renowned architectural and interior design firms. Among other things, I was commissioned to photograph the Michelin-starred restaurant Rumor Budapest, the Aurea Ana Palace Hotel, the new building of the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Debrecen, the Westend Food & Friends area, but I have also photographed lookouts, city apartments, and country houses, and I have also worked on projects such as the city of the Golden Palaces.
The goal is not simply to take a beautiful photo. The goal is to let the architecture speak.
